Terms & Conditions

Using this website means that you accept these terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of them, do not access or use the site.

This privately owned site has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a consumer report or an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Purpose and Independence

This is a private reference publication with no link to Inyo County, a sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or other public office. It stores no official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a request or court document for a visitor.

The site identifies resources operated by the Inyo County Sheriff's Office, Inyo County Jail roster, Inyo Superior Court, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and federal agencies. It may also connect users to third-party research tools. Government offices and outside providers control their own data and services.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the site responsibly and lawfully.

  • Do not use the site while breaking any law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Do not make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content.
  • Do not attempt to enter restricted systems or accounts.
  • Do not operate automated bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools.
  • Do not disrupt the site or interfere with another visitor's access.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply credit reports, background checks, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners. You agree not to use any information from this site for:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Links Beyond Our Control

Links may open jail rosters, booking feeds, sheriff and corrections websites, government portals, legal-help sources, or outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination's content, availability, data handling, or terms, which you should review before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are offered “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law, no promise is made concerning:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or freshness of information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability
  • Freedom from defects, errors, or security weaknesses
  • The scope or quality of an outside provider's results

Custody status and public records can change at any time. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from the Inyo County Sheriff's Office or another government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent California law permits, the site, its owners, and contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold the site, its owners, and contributors harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your site use or your violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless otherwise stated, the site's original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Inyo County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, republish, or modify those materials without written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted, and continued use after that point means the updated terms are accepted.

Access May Be Restricted

Access may be suspended, limited, or ended at any time, with or without notice, including when conduct threatens the site, other visitors, or these terms.

California Law Applies

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in California.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it lawful.
